CERA Products  --  VISIT

CERA Products

CERA Products, Inc., makers of  a rice based oral electrolyte drink.  Used for many years to replace fluids lost from diarrhea and help promote early recovery.  It  has also helped my children with low blood  pressure and seizures.  The children all had positve EEG's for many years, diagnosed with a-typical absence seizrues.  They were on many different drugs and combinations, none seemed to help until we tried the Cera Lyte.   See articles by Dr. Juan Ochoa.

*Please check with your doctors before using this products.

What is good for one Dysautonomia may not be good for another.    You and your doctor may
want to read more about this products.   See John-Hopkins Hospital paper,
General Information Brochure on Neurally Mediated Hypotension and its treatment.

Diarrhea is a common problem for many people; bacteria and viruses are among its many causes. Diarrhea often stops in a day or so, but it can become dangerous if lost fluids are not replaced properly. An oral electrolyte solution, such as CeraLyte, properly replaces fluids.

Rice-based oral electrolyte solutions are effective in reducing volume and duration of diarrhea.

**My three (3) children have a Dysautonomia called Familial Dysautonomia, also known as "Riley Day Syndrome" or HSAN III.   My children have been using CeraLyte for several years and have had marked improvement.  My Children see both a Cardiologist that specializes in Electrophysiology and a Neurologist that specializes in Seizures.  My children have been able to discontinue Florinef, except in the heat of summer.  The CeraLyte seems to make them stronger and feel much better.

CeraLyte comes in various flavors and in various strengths depending on you health care needs.  You should check with your  own doctor for any medical advice.  We started with Cera Lyte 50 and built up into Cera Lyte 70 and then Cera Lyte 90.

I have tried the Cera Sport drink for myself and it is also worked very well for me.  My kids drink the CeraLyte 90 plain, but I am aware many with Familial Dysautonomia seem to be drinking the CeraLyte 70 in various flavors.  We are all very different in our needs, even with the same disorder.

If you are ordering CeraLyte for yourself or your child/adult, please mention that you saw the information on our Web site, use  FD2008 or my name (Mallow) for a discount of 15% on your purchase.

***Chai Lifeline is a wonderful organization.  They offer many supports for children with Jewish Genetic Disease.  They have been a wonderful support to me and my family.  One of the most amazing things is their Camp Simcha Special.  A camp experince for children with Jewish Genetic Disease, for two weeks away in upstate NY. They covered the plane trip, food and a best friend for our children to enjoy (a one on one couselor).  A wonderful vacation for your child!  A nice time off for mom and dad too.
